This video tutorial demonstrates how to encrypt a folder of sensitive documents using Disk Utility, an application that comes free with OS X. Web Anonymity Part 3: Removing Flash CookiesPosted by admin
This video tutorial demonstrates how to delete flash cookies, also known as ‘Local Shared Objects’ from OS X. The forthcoming Machacks.TV audio podcast will discuss flash cookies in greater detail. In the meantime you can read the Wikipedia entry Local Shared Objects here. Your browsers are unaware of flash cookies and cannot delete them. The flash cookies bury themselves in the OS X filesystem and may be deleted manually. There is an Adobe web app which you can find here that is designed to manage flash cookies. It has a setting which should permit you to prevent the acquisition of flash cookies. In my experience though it does not work reliably in this regard and I strongly suggest manually managing your flash cookies just in case. |
