The flash cookies bury themselves in the OS X filesystem and may be deleted manually. There is an Adobe web app which you can find here that is designed to manage flash cookies. It has a setting which should permit you to prevent the acquisition of flash cookies. In my experience though it does not work reliably in this regard and I strongly suggest manually managing your flash cookies just in case.
