    Thanks, CS5 very useful resource!!

  8. Wilde Tavares, May 25, 2010:

    Hello everyone.
I tried many ways, made the correction”t”but failed.
When I open the program, it is still counting the days to expire.
and i have another solution? for our CS5?
if you please send me an email. Thank you.
Just to thank, in CS4 it worked, just missing the CS5.

  9. vibe, May 26, 2010:

Photoshop CS5 still tries to connect to Adobe. If I don’t let it (using Little SNitch) then it works, but the Kuler panel is disabled as it needs an internet connection.

If I allow it I get the old ‘this serial number is not correct etc etc’

    Any ideas?

  11. LS, June 5, 2010:

Does anyone have a serial number that will work on CS5 Production Premium? I guess a CS5 Master Suite number would be good. Perhaps a keygen?

  12. JH, June 6, 2010:

Does anyone have a serial for MAC?

  13. Mary, June 19, 2010:

Hey all my Cs4 apps have jsut stopped working, they wont launch, just bounce int eh dock a few times then dissapear.. Can you help ?

  14. Jon, June 23, 2010:

You could make all this a lot simpler by simply keying

    sudo pico /etc/hosts

This will bring up the built-in text editor right in the terminal
Simply ‘edit > paste’ this list in. hit ^x and you’re good to go.

  18. weston, July 1, 2010:

  19. Kacie, July 4, 2010:

This isn’t working and I’ve tried everything under the sun…I feel like maybe the fact that we can’t block adobe from the internet is an invasion of privacy..

  20. John Johnz, July 8, 2010:

Seriously Kacie, your bitching about Adobe trying to get access to your pirated CS5? You win the cro magnum comment of the week award.

  21. Pat, July 10, 2010:

    The keys don’t work.

  22. bambie on ice, July 12, 2010:

Anyone got an updated list of ‘hosts’ to block adobe? the previous hasn’t worked as after 30days or so it has just asked for the serial again.

    Thanks

  23. hello, July 15, 2010:

If this isnt working in 10.6 snow leopard for you, comment out the line fe80::1%lo0 localhost in the hosfile (just put a # before it)

I followed all the steps and it didnt work. This did the trick.

  24. dylan, July 20, 2010:

when i put in sudo pico /etc/hosts it asks for a password and wont let me type any suggestions oon why this is or how i can install it?

  25. max, July 20, 2010:

    John, suck my balls.

  26. Shade, July 21, 2010:

Hi Guys, does anyone have a serial for fireworks cs5 for windows? Appreciation in advance.

    Kind Regards

  27. Joey, July 26, 2010:

Max. My guess is that you don’t have a password set up for mac yet and it is blank? terminal won’t work unless you setup a password. Lol to shade – this is a mac forum and you’re asking for windows serial – go here if you want one http://btjunkie.org/search?q=cs5+fireworks. I’m about to create an auto script for mac using either packagemaker, applescript, or iceberg that will auto implement the host file entries into your mac osx hosts file. If you want to be updated on progress post in here for the request for the file with email address I’ll send it to you when its done.

  28. j, August 6, 2010:

I’m not so sure about …. these are used for other CRLs too not just adobe according to various sources such as
    http://www.dslreports.com/faq/7998
/”"CRL” is a “Certificate Revocation List,” and it’s a list of SSL web security certificates that should no longer be trusted. These could have expired, been stolen or otherwise removed from service, and it’s part of a security infrastructure supported by Verisign. Your system is merely trying to get the latest list of revoked certificates so it won’t accept them as “valid” any longer. The activity is innocuous and won’t hurt anything. You trust Verisign for a lot more than this every day.”"/

couldn’t blocking them cause other problems? for now I’ve ###’d them out

I just got a mac 10.6.3 and cant figure out how to get to the host file. help

  31. charles, August 11, 2010:

i just installed everything, went in and changed the host file, opened up a program, typed in the serial numbers provided, and it seems to have worked. i did notice that i DO have a cache file in the library>application support>adobe>adobe PCD>cache. does that mean that i am going to be ok? Shouldn’t that not be popping up, because i closed its connections to the adobe “mothership”?
